Covid-19 Pandemic is not over yet. As bicycle supply chain disruption continues, GW remains actively expanding capacity to satisfy rising demand.
Since the pandemic started, GW has been busy making investment in increasing facilities, machineries, skilled manpower, etc, to fulfill growing market demand and to offer our products with competitive lead times.
This month, 20 newly purchased machining centers have finally arrived at GW main factory, currently under pre-setup and installation process before they are ready to boost up production capacity. As usual, GW insists on investing high standards machining centers made in Japan, just like GW strives to offer only the best products to all customers.

Two months have passed since the CECC raised epidemic warning to Level 3. Due to the trend of low case numbers appeared stable, although level 3 alert has been extended to July 26, restrictions and measures have been partially lifted.
For the last two months GW has implemented work from home protocols as preventive measures, but as pandemic situation appeared to be stable, we have decided to let GW staff return to workplace.
To return our staff to the workplace, we carefully followed the CECC’s safety guidelines to prevent and reduce transmission at work. On July 14, 2021, we have each of our employees performed rapid antigen tests for COVID-19 in separate groups to confirm all results were negative. On the same day, we announced all staff members to return to workplace starting the next day with safety procedures to follow, such as wearing face masks at all time, body temperature to be measured three times a day, and to rearrange seating plan so that social distancing is maintained.
We are pleased to announce GW Manufacturing have resumed normal operations. We appreciate your understanding and continued support during these difficult and challenging times.
Every year at this time, GW Manufacturing is a proud supporter of the MACC fund and their fight against childhood cancers. For more than forty years, MACC has provided more than $65 million in funding to research and cures.
In August, Trek will be holding the Trek 100 cycling event in Waterloo, Wisconsin which will help to raise more funds for the MACC fund. You can check out more information about this event here: https://secure3.convio.net/maacc/site/TR?fr_id=1090&pg=entry
For more information about the MACC fund and donate, you can check out their website: https://maccfund.org.
Over the past several years, GW Manufacturing saw strong demand for its products, and this has significantly increased during the past year. GW expects to see strong growth in its core products, even if current market demand is not sustained.
Despite a widespread shortages of bicycle components, GW has continued to offer short lead times thanks to careful planning and innovative solutions. It became clear that the action was not enough to meet future demand, so the decision was made to invest in increasing capacity.
The capacity increase was made possible by opening a third factory in Taichung, Taiwan, near its head office. The factory houses several new CNC machines that are used to produce most of GW’s products. The greater machine capacity will allow GW to maintain its short lead times on current products and expand the range of products offered.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Taiwan has been able to effectively control the spread of Covid-19 and this has allowed for business to operate without interruption. Over the past week, the virus has begun to spread uncontrolled with the north of the country being most hard hit. Although the case numbers are small, they are growing quickly.
Currently, there is no formal shutdown of offices or factories in Taichung where GW Manufacturing is based. However, GW is acting as a responsible corporate citizen and trying to prevent the spread of the disease so Taiwan can avoid a large-scale shutdown.
Beginning on May 17, 2021, some GW staff will be working from home for at least two weeks. Staff who do come to the office will have their temperatures taken, wear masks at all times, use the contact tracing apps and observe social distancing measures.
Due to these social distancing measures, there could be some impact on research and development projects, manufacturing capacity and delivery schedules. Currently, there are no delays and we will be monitoring this situation closely. As soon as we become aware of any delay, we will notify you immediately and provide an updated timeline.
We appreciate your continued support during these difficult and uncertain times but together, we will overcome this situation and emerge stronger.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please reach out to your sales window or contact us at email@example.com and we will respond to you immediately.
